A little bit about the chingus who will be partying on and off the field this season.  If seen wandering the streets, please return to Daegu.
Elizabeth Riggio "E"

Elizabeth is entering her second year of ROK-U and second season of captaining the greatest team in Daegu, nay in ROK-U, Tsunami. She is looking forward to what the Fall 2015 season will bring. Having not played much Frisbee before coming to Korea, Elizabeth is still a student of the game and loves learning more about the sport together with new and old players. Prior to her Frisbee career, Elizabeth played competitive soccer for most of her life including captaining the Ohio Wesleyan University Women’s Soccer team. She is also a lover of running and snowboarding. Actually, she really loves all sports and various thrill-seeking adventures. Elizabeth reads, writes, and watches Netflix avidly in her spare time, as well as procrastinates at an impressive Olympic level. Elizabeth would like to thank ROK-U for the opportunity to captain and be a part of this incredible team and organization. Go Nam Nams!

Season Goal: Strengthen the teams frisbee knowledge and skills and have fun!

Thomas Capranica "Tom"

Back in the land of kimchi after a year hiatus world travelling and a stint back in the great state of North Carolina for Bojangles and BBQ, and friends and family were there too.  This will be my fourth season, second as ass cap, with tsunami after picking up frisbee in the spring of 2013 at thursday (now wednesday) pickup at suseong university.  Love the game, love the people, Tsunami4life.

Season Goal:  The tiger.

Bryan Colburn

Sup. I'm from Texas and I've been playing Korean Horseshoes about a year now. We play it really differently in Texas. I expect to pitch a lot. Every once in a while being a dedicated hitter is fun. But sometimes I like catching too.

Season Goal: Throw  more touchdowns

Cheryl Edwards

Hey, I’m the Tsunami Saffer, born and raised in Cape Town. I studied Psychology at the University of Cape Town. Love playing guitar and recently started pursuing photography. This is my fourth season in the ROK-U scene. Super excited to be on Tsunami this season. I have a good feeling about this season and I feel like I’m going to learn a lot ^^

Season Goal:  Make better and smarter cuts.

Christain Ferloni

An actual Papa Bear.  Long time ROKU vet, Daegu to the core.  Chasing after the ever evasive 1PPG statline.

Michael Kelly "Papa Bear"

The name is Papa Bear, I've been playing in ROKU for 2 seasons now, before that I played a bit of pick up in college. Currently my strength is cutting. I'm interested in having a fun and spirited season. Nami for life!!

Season Goal: My goals are to round out my abilities, especially on defense being able to shut down my man and helping others at the same time.

Staci Derminasian "Biscuitz" "Stacks" "Stinks" "Derminator" "The Big Australian"

Staci is a stick.  I threw her over the fence.  The dog chewed her up.

Season Goal: Get back to the other side of the fence.

MinJung Ko

The finest 80's aerobics dance moves around.  The soon to be wed CEO of Jinseong Korea always has a surprise up his sleeve.  You never know when MinJung will MinJung.

Eric Neimeyer "Niemo"

A musician, science, and sports dude, Niemo is from Edwardsville, Illinois where he played tons of soccer and discgolf. He helped start his uni ultimate team, "Ultimate Eville". In ROK-U, he first played for the Gyeongju Monarchs, then moved to Captain of Daegu Tsunami his second season; and is currently the Commissioner of the League. He has also helped spearhead much of the Club scene for Daegu.

Season Goal:  No unforced errors. Unless they're deep.

Emily Kokotan "Koko"

I play frisbee. I run fast. It's fun. Glitter is my favorite color. Creatures are my thing. Goal: kill bitches. Just kidding.

Season Goal:  Prove I'm not a one trick pony but really a Lipizzaner Stallion.

진수현

Hi my name is Pierre Tran or I’m known as 진수현, Q, or Tsunami. I’m 34 years old and I’m from the USA. I’d lived in Korea for 6 years and currently living and teaching in Gumi, Republic of Korea. During my free time, I like to exercise, studying and learning about Korean history and culture, learning about Korean traditional instruments, or hanging out with my Korean friends and brothers. I’d started out playing for the Daegu Thunders in Spring of 2012, and from the Fall of 2012 to the Fall of 2013, I’d played for the Daegu Tsunami for 3 straight consecutive seasons. In the fall of 2013, I’d played for the Daejeon KAIST Freeze aka Thundercats. I took a break for the 2014 season, but came back playing for the Daegu Rad in the Spring of 2015. For this season, I hope in getting chances to handle the frisbee often so it can give me more practice of throwing it as well as hoping to get a chance to get into the end zone more to score goals. For my whole ultimate frisbee life, I’d only scored 2 goals and 1 assist. I’m hoping to get a chance to score more goals. I’m hoping our team will have a great season and will strive thru the playoffs. Our team winning the championships is my biggest dream and I hope it can happen. I’m also hoping to work on my backhand throwing as well to improve my forehand throwing. I’m also hoping to learn in throwing the hammer as well. I hope we will have a great season. TSUNAMI, GO! FIGHT! WIN! VICTORY!!!!~

Tommy Vorst

Father. Teacher. Yogi. Pornographer. Flinger of plastic. I am all of these things. Some people call me Nomad, but I don't move as often as my teammates. Nor as quickly. But I'm always happy when I'm in my team, joining the cheers and highing the fives (though I'm especially fond of tens). If you're into trepannation, feel free to tap my brain, because my legs are tapped out. Positionally I hope to be a significant droplet in our Tsunami, wherever I'm needed: I'm pretty flexible (see yogi above).

Season Goal: Win the spirit award, with maybe a league title thrown in.

Victoria Lisowski "Fayce"

I started playing Ultimate my freshman year of college at the University of Illinois Chicago. I’ve played college, some club, and lots and lots of league since. I have a loose grasp of the basics now…Also I had a really weird dream before the draft involving rok-u folks and a literal tsunami. It was pretty scary actually but I think it’s meant to be. Tsunami4lyfe!

Season Goal: Huck it or you-know-what it

Zach Burrows

I'm a teacher in Yeongyang, I studied history in university, and have a love for puns. I play a lot of chess, enjoy playing guitar, and my favorite beer is Revolution. For frisbee, I've played for about 5 years now, and am comfortable as a cutter or a handler. I'm thinking I'll be a handler depending on the skill level of the team.

Season Goal: Have some fun and make some  new friends

Pearly Tang

I am a delicious orange drink that happens to catch every disc in my vicinity.  My pump fakes are vicious, my karate chop has hacked more heads than any valerian steel sword.
